More legal woes for Britney Spears

Crying Britney SpearSuperior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon granted Kevin Federline attorney, Vincent Kaplan, an in-chambers ex-parte hearing Thursday morning that was also attended by a representative from the office of Britney Spears' attorney, Sorrel Trope 29 September 2007.

Federline filed for enhanced custody of the couple's two sons citing safety concerns in view of Britney's erratic behavior and lifestyle. Commissioner Scott Gordon is presiding over the case, on 8 Aug 2007.

The Thursday hearing is possibly linked to a new set of charges filed on September 21st by the office of Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo. According to Access Hollywood.

Britney was charged with misdemeanor hit and run and causing property damage for a parking lot incident on August 6 in which she hit a parked car while pulling in but made no attempt to contact the owner of the car.

The charges filed also mention that at the time of the incident Britney did not have a valid California driver's license.

Spears was photographed behind the wheel of a car with her two sons Jayden and Sean Preston in the back seat, On Tuesday (September 25)

It is possible Britney has obtained a valid driving license since the 6 Aug 2007 parking lot incident. If not, she may well have dug herself deeper into a hole and that could well be what the ex-parte hearing is all about.
