It’s official: Fergie and Josh Duhamel are engaged. This very private couple has kept mum about the status of their relationship, even when Fergie was caught wearing a diamond engagement ring during the November Music Awards on that special finger. Still no acknowledgment from her representative and it was back to the cat-and-mouse game of “are they/aren’t they?” which surrounds this couple. Finally, the rep admitted that they had been recently engaged at the end of 2007, but refused to admit the details. Well, just because they’re officially engaged now doesn’t mean that the rumors have stopped. Is Fergie pregnant? Some are suggesting that the wedding date has moved up to take into account a new addition to this couple.Fergie, lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas, is said to be floating on air and deliriously happy. Maybe it’s because she can now wear that ring in public again without having to explain what it’s doing on that finger. We hope she does so we can get another peek at it. As to whether she’s pregnant, we’re back to guessing. If you ask her mother, she will staunchly deny the rumors, but then why are they moving their wedding date up? After dating Duhamel for three years, maybe she just doesn’t want to wait too long and let him wriggle out of it at the last minute?
It’s not unusual for celebrities to try to keep the private details of their lives private, but some things have to be public – whether you want them to be or not. A little bulge in that belly and all the world knows. And, what’s the point of buying a ring no one gets to look at anyways?
