Kylie Minogue Earns £4.5 Million In Year From The Industry....
Pop superstar Kylie Minogue pocketed a whopping £4.5 million ($9 million) in the year-long break she took from the music industry in 2005 to battle cancer - almost doubling her earnings from the previous year.
The Can't Get You Out Of My Head hitmaker, 39 was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 and subsequently took a year out of her career to receive treatment for the disease.
But in her time away from the spotlight, the pop princess still managed to make an income of £2.63 million ($5.26 million) from other business ventures, in addition to her salary of £1.85 million ($3.7 million) from worldwide record sales.
The accounts of her firm Darenote revealed the company made profits of £142,807 ($285,614) in the year April 2005 to March 2006.
Minogue is currently recording her comeback album after successfully beating breast cancer last year (06).
