Lindsay Lohan has fuelled lesbian rumours after holding hands with new best friend Courtenay Semel.
The Mean Girls star and her pal, the daughter of Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel, have become inseparable recently and last week attended a housewarming party at the Los Angeles home of "Power Lesbian" Jeanette Longoria together.
A fellow partygoer told the New York Post newspaper: "Lindsay came with Courtenay to the party around midnight and they stayed for an hour.
"The girls held hands and were with each other the whole time. Every time I see Lindsay, there's Courtenay. They are always together."
While at the party, Lindsay, 21, and Courtenay, 28, referred to themselves as "roommates" and told guests they had been living together in Los Angeles for about a month. They left the party together and were seen shopping in Beverly Hills the next day.
A representative for Lindsay: "The two are good friends, nothing more."
Lindsay - who split from snowboarder Riley Giles, who she met in rehab this summer - has previously been linked to her DJ friend Samantha Ronson, the sister of producer Mark Ronson.
The troubled actress - who was treated at Utah's Cirque Lodge for drug and alcohol addiction after being charged with driving under the influence - was said to be nervous at Jeanette Longoria's party, where other guests included Diana Ross' son Evan Ross and Brandon Davis.
The party insider said: "Lindsay seemed really nervous. It was the first time she's seen a lot of people from her past life and she seemed socially awkward - like she was sticking by Courtenay for support."
Semel infuriated her billionaire father by agreeing to star in E! reality show Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive alongside Fabian Basabe, Brittny Gastineau and Katy Benetar.
The show, produced by Joe Simpson, featured a group of spoiled, rich kids trying to rough it on a Colorado ranch.

Katie Holmes and her husband Tom Cruise are looking forward to Christmas because she and her mom are great cooks and are planning to serve exotic food.
Cruise plans to spend this Christmas with Holmes and her family in Colorado.
Katie Holmes : 'We have big dinners and laugh. We love cooking. My mum's stuffing is my favourite. I'm a huge fan of pie, especially pecan.
'I will probably cook some garlic mashed potatoes and maybe a cheesecake. We always make a lot of sugar cookies with decorating and sprinkles. Tom has shown me the greatness of extra chocolate chips. Tom's really good in the kitchen. He makes great pasta carbonara and lemon pasta.'
Holmes added that no gift she gets this year would be better than her daughter Suri.
'Last year was Suri's first Christmas. It was so spectacular to share the holidays with her. It really meant the world to me. To be able to create a tradition for your children is one of the best gifts you can have,' she said.

Michelle Rodriguez Spends Christmas in Jail
Kiefer Sutherland isn't the only celeb spending Christmas in the slammer.
Michelle Rodriguez checked into jail in Lynwood, California, Sunday to begin serving her 180-day sentence for violating her probation in a DUI case.
In October, the former Lost star, 29, was sentenced after she admitted she had violated her probation by failing to provide proof of completion of community service and for drinking three times while wearing her SCRAM alcohol-monitoring anklet.

Amy Winehouse's invited to spend Christmas in Caribbean with Adam
Amy Winehouse has been invited to spend Christmas with Bryan Adams in the Caribbean.
The troubled 'Rehab' singer - who is struggling to cope without husband Blake Fielder-Civil who is currently being held in custody in London's Pentonville Prison for alleged grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice - is considering flying to Bryan's luxury villa on the private island of Mustique for a "rock family" Christmas.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Amy has been invited to Mustique to stay with Bryan Adams. He is keen to help her. Mick Jagger also has a house there and could even join them. He has also said he wants to help Amy."
The 'Everything I Do' singer is keen to help Amy and believes a relaxing holiday will allow her to deal with her alcohol and drink problems.
Meanwhile, Amy's mother-in-law Georgette Civil has blasted the star for partying too hard and missing her visits to see Blake in jail.
Georgette fumed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "When Amy is out all night, she can't get up the next day and keeps missing prison visits. Blake can't dictate to Amy but he gets upset when she forgets to visit or turns up late and is turned away.
"I have to ring her sometimes six times a day to remind her to get up, get washed and get over there."
Earlier this week, Amy was arrested, questioned and released on bail by police in connection with the investigation into Blake's charge of perverting the course of justice.
Blake is accused of bribing James King, the landlord of Macbeth's public house in Hoxton, to withdraw his allegation of grievous bodily harm against the 25-year-old.
He will be remanded in custody until January 18 for a plea and directions hearing.

Nayo's African Dreams
Nayo is a proud young African woman, whose soulful tones and heartfelt narrative lyrics have earned her the label "the new Sade".
However, despite finding the flattering comparison, this 26-year-old relative newcomer to the ambient club scene cannot see the connection herself, calling it "bizarre".
The 'new Sade' phrase was coined by a newspaper who jumped on her talent earlier this year, when she was causing somewhat of her stir on the underground dance floors thanks to the various remixes of her single 'African Girl'.
One version landed her a number 11 spot on the UK club chart and she even received the blessing of the most hallowed name in dance music, the Ministry of Sound, who chose to include the track on their 'HedKandi Serve Chilled' compilation CD.
The song that grabbed the attention of the industry's important movers and shakers was born out of tragedy.
'African Girl' was the culmination of a roller-coaster three years, which began when Nayo's father died in 2004 and she was forced to return to Nigeria.
At the time, Nayo was living a happy-go-lucky existence as a "Starbucks Latte girl" in California, busy pursuing a career in song writing, but unsure of what path she wanted to take as an artist, crossing over musical genres from pop to rock to reggae.
Once back in her homeland, Nayo began discovering her musical ancestry, listening to the soulful tones of Sade and the politically charged lyrics of Fela Kuti and Bob Marley.
Their words and strong cultural references inspired Nayo to transform her tragedy into something positive and she began to discover her "sense of self" as a "beautiful women from a beautiful continent full of beautiful people".
The experience made Nayo realise she had something important to say as a singer, not just as songwriter, and effectively helped her find her musical direction - ambient soul.
With a renewed determination and sense of purpose she relocated to the UK - following a brief return to the US where she released the catchy tune 'Party Fever', which broke into the Billboard Club Play Chart in late 2005 - and her music started to reflect her African heritage.
It was in London that she approached producers the Misfits - Pete Glenister and Deni Lew - who immediately saw the potential in this upbeat, vivacious character.
Glenister said: "She had a really distinctive voice that had not been heard for quite a while so I was interested immediately. I also thought she had a really interesting mix to her sound, a sort of African feel with a slinky groove."
With a hot team behind her, Nayo was able to hone her style and 'African Girl' was released to widespread acclaim, followed by a whirlwind few months of press, praise and performances.
Last month, Nayo sparked further interest with the release of her new single 'Desert Storm'.
Described as "an ode to the Sahara" and featuring strong influences of jazz, trip hop and bozzanova, the track proved even more successful and made it to number four on the UK club chart.
With a go-getter attitude and an unmovable spirit, 2008 is certain to see Nayo's star continue to rise. Her debut album 'African Girl' is set for release in February and a stalwart fanbase are currently being drummed up on a comprehensive tour of UK universities.
Nayo may not entirely understand the label of the "new Sade", but there is one phrase that she would readily admit sums up her attitude perfectly - carpe diem.
Here she talks about her beloved Nigeria, how music helped her grieve for her father and her celebrity crushes.
Q: You have been referred to as the new Sade, do you take that as a compliment or are you fed up of it?
A: Oh absolutely! I find it a compliment.
Q: Was she an inspiration to you growing up?
A: She actually wasn't. I discovered Sade when I was much older.
Q: Why do you think people made the comparison?
A: I absolutely do not know. It's the most bizarre comparison. But it seems to be a constant. People watch my shows and they say "Sade", people get my CDs and say "Sade". I think I am such a ruffian compared to her!
Q: It has been quite a crazy year for you. Has there been one stand out moment for you?
A: I think the highlight was when my press guy told me to go and get a newspaper and I opened it up and the music magazine fell out and I just saw my photo right there! Nayo from Nigeria and being the new Sade, I just wanted to die, and I was thinking are these guys drunk, what is this about, it is too much for me!
Q: What do you miss most about Nigeria?
A: Oh my god, I miss having help! Having a driver and a butler, having my mother cook me special meals. Having somebody to just take care of me, I guess, because that's what I had in Nigeria.
Q: You moved to California to study chemistry at university (Nayo later switched to a business with finance degree) how did the US compare to Nigeria?
A: I had a stint in the UK briefly too, to study for my A-levels and then I moved to the US for college.
It was very different, I moved there because of my passion for music. I had to live on my own for the first time. It was great, I was in Los Angeles, great weather!
Q: You father wanted you to become a doctor, but you chose to follow a music career, did that every cause any problems?
A: It didn't cause problems, no major problems, he was just concerned about my future and how music was going to help me financially.
You know, unless you are a big star, music doesn't cover the bills. Money gives you a life with all these choices, you can pick up and go for random holidays and be comfortable.
Q: You went back to Nigeria in 2004 when your father sadly passed away, did music help you grieve then?
A: It did help, because I started listening to music from back home which helped me find my musical direction, ambient soul.
I had been doing all sorts but never really knew what path I would take as an artist. I wanted to be a songwriter, I was doing a lot of writing, from soft rock to pop to reggae. But going back to Nigeria I listened to Bob Marley, I listened to Sade, and they were very conscious of their ancestry and I was inspired by them, really.
Publishers had often told me they liked my voice, but it's one thing to have a nice voice and another to have something to sing about. These artists helped me rediscover my roots.
Losing my father catapulted the drive in that life is really short and you have to take your one shot now.
I thought I am an African girl - this is who I am. I acknowledge my sense of self and I was like, 'I'm going to talk about my life as an African girl, growing up in various places of the world.' I learned to just appreciate and love who I am.
Q: Did you feel you lost of sense of self in Los Angeles?
A: In Los Angeles I was just some Starbucks latte girl, who hung out at the beach doing nothing pretty much, just having fun. Living in Los Angeles is like living in a bubble. When reality hits and you go back and see people suffering, who see how fortunate you are, you take the positive from it or you let the negative break you down.
Q: What do you make of Los Angeles party girls like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton?
A: Well, a lot of people in Los Angeles are like them, so I cannot judge them. Unfortunately Paris and Lindsay are the pin-up girls but a lot of people who I hung out with from college are like that. Obviously Lindsay has worked really hard actually to get to where she is.
Paris works as well it just seems really easy for her because she has money. But some people have money and do nothing with it. There is something to be said for going from one step to the next. People just look at the negative not the positive.
Q: Do you have time for romance?
A: I don't. I have hung out with a couple of people, and gone on a few dates. But it's always the time and schedule and I don't have time to share my life.
Q: Is there a difference between English men and American men?
A: Oh absolutely. Englishmen are so polite and so proper and dress really well. American guys are just different, I hung out with a lot of surfer boys when I was in Los Angeles.
Q: What about African men?
A: Ah, Africa men, people like my father. The king of the castle, I love my African men. When I am with African men they make me feel like a complete African woman. He makes me the queen.
Q: Is there a type of man you go for?
A: Confidence. I am intrigued by intelligence, I don't like pretty boys, because I feel quirky boys have more to offer. From my experience pretty boys go, 'Oh I'm good looking' and think that's enough, but for me there has to be more.
Confidence, intelligence and hard work are all important in a man.
Q: Have you got any celebrity crushes?
A: I love that guy who was in 'The Motorcycle Diaries' - Gael GarcĂa Bernal. He is lovely, I love him, he is so beautiful.
I also have an eternal crush on Leonardo DiCaprio, I have loved Leo since 'Titantic' and he does good movie too. He lives in Malibu so I see him around, I have never approached him though, he has always had a girlfriend.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: Family photos, and my master recordings. That's pretty much it!
Q: Do you have any guilty pleasures?
A: I like to eat very late at night, which is very bad. I don't have time to eat in the day because I am really busy and then I have midnight feasts.
Q: Do you have any New Year resolutions?
A: I want to try and enjoy work, enjoy the moment, because time just goes past and you never appreciate stuff.
I want to enjoy the people I work with. I want to be more appreciative and try to just take time for myself, because that is very important, because I just go on and on and on and never know when to stop.
Q: What is on your Christmas list?
A: Oh, I haven't got that far yet. I don't believe in Christmas trees and Santa. There is no Santa, it's a lie! I was never fooled into thinking Santa would bring me anything!
Q: Who would you love to work with?
A: I would love to work with Alicia Keys, she is so inspired, every time I see or hear something from her I want to write something! I would like to work with producer Mano Chau and I would love to work with Damon Albarn.
And of course, Seal has been a huge inspiration. I always thought I would do a duet with him - that would be the ultimate because I love his songs.
Q: How will you judge your success?
A: When I am fulfilled.
Q: When will you be fulfilled?
A: Fulfilment is something I strive for because I am just never content. When I lost my father, my perspective changed a lot on life, on how short it is and how if you really want something you have to go after it. The day that the lights go out isn't your decision. So as long as the lights are on I am going to keep going for it. Maybe when I am ready to take my last breath I will be fulfilled!
Q: Can you sum Nayo up in three words?
A: Optimistic, go getter and I'll never stop!

My plan to adopt Chinese Twins : Britney
British tabloid News of the World claims Britney Spears is planning to adopt twins from China.
The newspaper's Rav Showbiz column announces: "The desperate singer has told friends she's in the final stages of talks with an adoption agency and plans to go ahead with the move very soon.
"Friends feel that Britney has decided to adopt the two six-year-old tots from China in a frantic bid to fill the void left by losing her sons to K-Fed," it continues.
Spears recently lost custody of her children - two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James- to her ex-husband following a string of alcohol and drug-fuelled exploits and a stint in rehab.
The paper offers no evidence in support of the dramatic claim. But it doesn't stop there, adding that the singer has put a down payment on her own funeral.
Rav quotes a source as saying: "It doesn't seem that Britney has thought this through completely. Adoption and a funeral? The two don't exactly go hand-in-hand."

Heidi Klum - Worse Than Upskirt?
What’s worse than an upskirt? A downskirt. Why? Because it makes her look like a plumber showing their crack and not like someone who just “oops” accidentally showed their naughty bits. HEIDI KLUM apparantly doesn’t own two mirrors, otherwise she would have known what this dress looked like from the back.
Although considering that her ass looks tanned in this photo with barely a tan-line to show for it, she’s obviously not opposed to showing everyone her crack, and probably assumes everyone wants to see it.
I’m not even going to make fun of her saggy back-fat here, because I think that’s probably the least of poor Heidi’s worries in this photo.

Lily Allen's lingerie deal
Lily Allen has been signed up as the new face and body of Agent Provocateur lingerie.
The singer - who recently slimmed down from a UK dress size 12 to a size 8 - will follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Dita Von Teese when her campaign for the company, shot day before yesterday (05.11.07), is released next spring.
An insider said: "The owners of Agent Provocateur, Joe Corre and Serena Rees, are delighted. They feel her natural look will appeal to a lot of women. She's in amazing shape since she lost the weight, and the pictures of her are absolutely incredible."
Lily - who reportedly received a whopping six-figure sum for the deal - has put her weight loss down to hypnosis.
She said recently: "After the hypnotism I want to go to the gym every day otherwise I feel really bad. I just want to get more toned and healthy. I'm really good at the moment - I've never been happier."
And the 22-year-old singer also credited new boyfriend Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons for helping her shed the weight, giggling: "Me losing weight is down to love. I probably shouldn't say the word love, actually. I'm in 'like'. We like each other a lot!"
But Lily insists she will never take her weight loss to extremes and has vowed to always
She said: "I'll never be a size 0 catwalk model. I have absolutely no interest in that, at all."

Oscar winner Hilary Swank has received a haircut from talk show host Oprah Winfrey as part of a cancer charity campaign.
The Million Dollar Baby star had been growing her locks long so she could donate them to a cancer sufferer, through hair product giant Pantene's Beautiful Lengths campaign.
The charity push aims to encourage women and men to cut and donate their hair for wigs to aid cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
During an appearance on U.S. TV's Oprah Winfrey Show, set to air in America on Friday , Swank had nine inches of her flowing hair cut off by the media mogul.
She said, "I've been growing it for the last six months to donate my hair.

Dad as a Directer Impressed Mira Sorvina
Mira Sorvino Impressed With Dad As A Director....
Mira Sorvino is desperate to work with her dad Paul Sorvino after performing a cameo in his latest film The Trouble With Cali.
The Oscar winner's sister, Amanda, wrote the screenplay for the film, which the girls' dad directed - and Mira agreed to appear in it, despite her fears that acting for her father would be a nightmare.
She says, "I was a little bit nervous because I thought, 'OK, my father was my first and really best acting teacher; he was my coach on all of my plays and gave me all of my technique.
"I learned, at his feet, the tools of his trade. It had been a long time since I came to him for acting advice and I thought, `How is it gonna be working with dad? Is he gonna feel the need to re-establish the master/pupil relationship?' "But he was the best actor's director I could've ever hoped for. He was nurturing but really insightful, giving me just one little note to tweak something to illicit an even richer moment.
"He was so masterful that I was like, `I want to do a whole big long film with dad as a director.'".

Paula Abdul Defends Allen
Paula Abdul Defends Allen....
American Idol judge Paula Abdul has defended British singer Lily Allen for cancelling a string of gigs in the U.S.
The singer, 45, believes Allen is too talented to be criticised for cancelling her U.S tour after encountering visa problems - which left her unable to enter America.
She says, "I love Lily Allen. I don't think the fact that she had to cancel her gigs in the States will necessarily affect her success here. Talent is talent.
"People forget that pop stars are human, too - we don't want to let people down but sometimes we can't help it.".

Sarah Jessica Parker's Jolie admiration
Sarah Jessica Parker admires Angelina Jolie for adopting.
The 'Sex and the City' actress thinks it is incredible Angelina has opened her home to three underprivileged children - Cambodian son Maddox, six, three-year-old Vietnamese son Pax and two-year-old Ethiopian daughter Zahara - and admits she can't even imagine doing the same.
Sarah - who has a five-year-old son, James, with husband Matthew Broderick - said: "It's too late for me to have a big family - I can't imagine it now. But I do think that what people like Angelina Jolie do is amazing. I love being a mother and I would be thrilled if my family were larger but I can't imagine having eight children."
The 42-year-old star admits she finds it hard to balance motherhood with being an actress because of all the attention it brings.
She added to Britain's OK! magazine: "The loss of privacy scares me, that's why you don't hear me complaining about that stuff and that is why you can't trap me into talking about the paparazzi.
"I don't know if I have found a happy balance with the cultural phenomenon of celebrity, especially what has happened over the last five years. I don't think I will ever understand or strike a balance with that."

Angelina doesn't like George Cloone
Angelina Jolie reportedly dislikes George Clooney - a close friend of her lover Brad Pitt - so much she refused to attend the New York premiere of his movie Michael Clayton last month.
A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Angie is not particularly close to George, so she didn't see why she had to be there."
"She asked Brad if he minded going alone, but Brad says it wasn't really a question. And it was fine with him."
Angelina, 32, allegedly fears lothario George will lead Brad astray, and distract him from his duties as a father.
The source added: "Angie doesn't get along with any of Brad's friends. When they are back in Los Angeles she discourages him from going on boys' nights out."
Brad, 43, and Angelina are parents to adopted children Maddox, six, Pax, three and Zahara, two, as well as 16-month-old biological daughter Shiloh.
It appears George is no fan of Angelina either.
He recently slammed female stars who adopt children from foreign countries, claiming they are doing it to fill a "gap" in their careers.
George, 46, said: "There is nothing more cruel than Hollywood. In a period of years, a woman's career is over. After they have been beating down your door with work, they toss you out from one day to the next. The first thing a lot of women do to fill the gap is adopt kids. That's a bit weird isn't it?"

Michael Jackson's 'wife' battling cancer
Pop star Michael Jackson has allegedly left his children's nanny to battle life-threatening cancer alone in California.
Grace Rwaramba - who has been the primary carer for the singer's three children for several years - is reportedly suffering from lupus and has been abandoned by the pop superstar in her time of need.
A spokeswoman for Jackson denied the claims, insisting Grace was in good health.
But a source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Grace is not doing well. She's ill, and she could use his spiritual, mental and financial support right now.
"I do believe Michael has affection for Grace, but he acts like a child.
"He could at least give her a call and say, 'How are you doing, Grace? Do you need more doctors?' But it's never like that. It's always taking.
"She's not on death's door, but she's like she was at the beginning of his child molestation trial when she took a break.
"Maybe he thinks she's on a similar break, and she just needs time to get well. I hope he can find it in himself to not be so self-centred."
Jackson's spokeswoman Raymone Bain called the claims "a hilarious rumour".
"I can guarantee she is not very ill. I've spoken to her in the last two hours."
Bain refused to disclose the Thriller singer's whereabouts, only saying "he's in the studio finishing up some music, doing vocals with a host of artists."
The spokeswoman also claimed Rwaramba, 40, is still the primary carer to 10-year-old son Prince Michael Jackson II, nine-year-old daughter Paris, and five-year-old Prince Michael Jackson III nicknamed 'Blanket'.
Last month, it was claimed Jackson and Rwaramba had married in Las Vegas but Bain has dismissed the rumours.
The eccentric singer has recently been dividing his time between Ireland and Las Vegas and was rumoured to be planning a residency at a Las Vegas hotel.
In July, Jackson dropped his Las Vegas plans without any explanation.

Britney Spears saving book
Britney Spears has been offered the opportunity to write an autobiography in a bid to save her career.
The troubled singer - who recently lost custody of her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline - has been approached by author Bruce Littlefield to help write her life story.
The writer - who was asked a few years ago by Britney's then-manager Larry Rudolph if he would be interested in working on a book with her - believes she would be able to "find herself" if she wrote an in-depth account of her life.
Littlefield told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Taking a step back and doing a book would be the best life and career move she could now make. She can find herself by doing the book. She certainly is not finding it by letting it all hang out."
The 25-year-old star has seen her life spiral out of control since she split from Kevin in November last year.
She has partied wildly, allegedly taken drugs, entered rehab, publicly shaved her head and her disastrous comeback performance at the recent MTV Video Music Awards was panned by the critics.
Britney was ordered by a judge to hand over two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James to Kevin after she failed to attend a drugs test.

Jen ranks as top celebrity covergirl
When it comes to celebrity magazines, actress Jennifer Aniston is the No. 1 covergirl, according to a Forbes ranking of the top-selling faces.
The former Friends star was followed by her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, the only man to appear in the top 10, who came in second. Actress Scarlett Johansson, Pitt's current partner Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon and Katie Holmes rounded out the top six spots.
The website, forbes analyzed the sales of six weekly magazines – People, Star, Us Weekly, In Touch, OK! and Life & Style – over a six-month period ending June 30, 2007.
"We eliminated all non-celebrity and collage covers as well as special issues with exceptionally large rate bases," said Forbes.
"Then we counted how many more-or-less issues the celebrity's cover sold, as compared with the magazine's average newsstand sales."
Also factored in were the number of covers graced by a celebrity and their consumer appeal, which was rated by E-Poll Market Research.
Singers and American Idol contestants Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson tied for seventh place, and were followed by actress and Jenny Craig spokeswoman Valerie Bertinelli and morning talk show host Kelly Ripa.
And while pop star Britney Spears appeared on 18 covers during the six months, the collective sales were some 600,000 below average, said Forbes, and combined with her low appeal score of 3, placed her last among the cover subjects.
The only celebrity to have a lower appeal rating than Spears was Paris Hilton,

More legal woes for Britney Spears
Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon granted Kevin Federline attorney, Vincent Kaplan, an in-chambers ex-parte hearing Thursday morning that was also attended by a representative from the office of Britney Spears' attorney, Sorrel Trope 29 September 2007.
Federline filed for enhanced custody of the couple's two sons citing safety concerns in view of Britney's erratic behavior and lifestyle. Commissioner Scott Gordon is presiding over the case, on 8 Aug 2007.
The Thursday hearing is possibly linked to a new set of charges filed on September 21st by the office of Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo. According to Access Hollywood.
Britney was charged with misdemeanor hit and run and causing property damage for a parking lot incident on August 6 in which she hit a parked car while pulling in but made no attempt to contact the owner of the car.
The charges filed also mention that at the time of the incident Britney did not have a valid California driver's license.
Spears was photographed behind the wheel of a car with her two sons Jayden and Sean Preston in the back seat, On Tuesday (September 25)
It is possible Britney has obtained a valid driving license since the 6 Aug 2007 parking lot incident. If not, she may well have dug herself deeper into a hole and that could well be what the ex-parte hearing is all about.

Mariah Carey's breast assistant
Mariah Carey has a personal assistant who is solely responsible for her breast tape.
The 'Hero' singer attended the VH1 Save the Music Foundation 10th Anniversary Gala in New York on Thursday night (20.09.07) with an entourage of nine people, including a helper to ensure her ample boobs remain covered up at all times.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "One assistant was in charge of dishing out breast tape, another wore a belt with brushes and hair spray and another one had portable heated rollers. The bathroom was shut down for 10 minutes for Mariah to be primped and preened.
"She also had several massive bodyguards surrounding her all night.
"As she made her way around the party her entourage marched in front, holding back other guests who included John Mayer and Jon Bon Jovi and shouted, 'Get out of the way! Mariah's coming!' "
The 38-year-old singer showed off her new svelte figure in a tight purple gown at the party, which she revealed was down to a diet of bland soups and water aerobics.
Mariah said: "My secret is bleak diets, basically soups and fish prepared really blandly.
"I have a wonderful trainer whose name is Patricia, she lives in St. Barts, poor girl. People say to me, 'Only you would fly someone from St. Barts in the Caribbean to New York to work out.' We do water aerobics mostly.
"I don't feel like you have to be a size zero. We should all just embrace who we are physically. I'm not supposed to be a stick figure girl. It's just not me."

Naomi Campbell's racism claims
Naomi Campbell has accused British Vogue of snubbing her because she is black, despite gracing its cover eight times.
The supermodel joined other black style icons - including Iman, Andre Leon Talley and Tracy Reese - on the panel of the Blacks in Fashion event on Friday, where she claimed the magazine has repeatedly refused to put her on their cover.
Naomi said: "I've never been on the cover of British Vogue and I've asked a million times and they've always refused me.
"They'll put the same white model for half the year, I swear like six times, but wouldn't put me on once in my own country. But I still want my British Vogue cover!"
Despite her claims, Naomi has been on the cover of British Vogue eight times since 1987 - twice with other models, once with hip-hop mogul P. Diddy and five times on her own.
The 37-year-old catwalk queen also claims she has struggled to get ahead in the fashion industry because of her ethnic origin.
She said: "The only time they care about black models is in February because it is Black History Month.
"Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington would go to big designers and say, 'If you don't pick Naomi to be in your show, then I don't want to be in it.' That's how I got Prada and Helmut Lang.
"The only reason I got the cover of French Vogue was because Yves Saint Laurent called up and told them he'd pull his ads if they didn't. So of course I got the cover."

Witherspoon had panic attacks after divorce
Actress Reese Witherspoon has opened up about her divorce from actor Ryan Philipe and reveals that it was pretty painful.
After the split, the Oscar winning actress had panic attacks for about a month.
She said: 'Right around Christmas time I was sitting in a parking lot and I felt like I just couldn't get out of the car. I thought, okay, half of the parking lot has dealt with this. Okay, let's make it a little bigger - half of this city has dealt with this. Okay, let's make it a little bigger - half of this country, until I finally got out of the car.'
She compared the moment to a scene from her movie 'Walk the Line', for which she won an Oscar, saying: 'There's this moment in 'Walk The Line' where June Carter says, 'I was never aware of how much I was seen.'
'I was very aware of how much I was seen. It was this moment of self-discovery and loss of identity and who was stepping out of the car, you know? Who is that person?'

My boobs are sagging, Charlize says
Hollywood star Charlize Theron is terrified her breasts are sagging.
The 32-year-old actress believes she has turned wrinkly and developed droopy boobs since turning 30.
She said: "I'm 32 and as you get older you get wrinkles and your boobs sag. You get wisdom too, so it's not all bad. But you can't really do anything about ageing."
The South African star also revealed her body issues are putting her off motherhood.
She said: "Getting pregnant doesn't excite me, but having kids does. I know I'll be a mother one day.
"It's just that I don't really want to look like a whale!
"But I'm sure the idea of something growing inside you is pretty powerful."
Theron is not the first star to express concerns over the impact of childbirth and the pull of gravity on their breasts.
Singer-and-actress Jessica Simpson, 27, recently said: "If I have kids and my breasts end up hanging to my waist, that's when I might start to think about having something done to them. Right now, they're perky and cute!"
Theron's new film In the Valley of Elah - in which she plays a police officer - is due out later this year.

A bleary Britney kicks off MTV Awards
Somewhere, Kevin Federline is laughing.
An out-of-shape, out-of-touch Britney Spears delivered what was destined to be the most talked about performance of the MTV Video Music Awards — but for all the wrong reasons. Kicking off the show Sunday night with her new single, "Gimme More," Spears looked bleary and unprepared — much like her recent tabloid exploits on the streets of Los Angeles.
She lazily walked through her dance moves with little enthusiasm. It appeared she had forgotten the entire art of lip-synching; and, perhaps most unforgivable given her once taut frame, she looked embarrassingly out of shape.
Even the celebrity-studded audience seemed bewildered. 50 Cent looked at Spears with a confused expression; Diddy, her new best friend, was expressionless.
Some comeback.
The VMAs was hoping to reinvent itself on Sunday. After suffering poor reviews and a decline in ratings over the last few years, MTV moved the show to Las Vegas' Palms Casino, shortened the show from three hours to two, and changed the show's setup to focus more on performances than awards.
To that end, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy and the Foo Fighters were each hosting four separate suite parties, where much of the show's performances would be held.
Timberlake's suite was packed with revelers, alcohol and eight lingerie-clad stripper types on raised platforms. Before he accepted the Quadruple Threat of the Year award at his suite, the DJ summoned the partygoers to watch the monitor and go crazy if Timberlake won.
He did, they did, and Timberlake said: "I want to challenge MTV to play more videos!" Then he was whisked away by bodyguards and disappeared.
Meanwhile, Rihanna won Monster Single of the Year for her ubiquitous hit "Umbrella," and Beyonce and Shakira won Most Earthshattering Collaboration for "Beautiful Liar."
Other performers were appearing on the show's main stage, in front of an industry-only audience seated at tables, like at the Golden Globes.
The Palms' casino floor, already glittering with slot machines and blinking lights, was transformed into a dazzling red carpet, as the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Kid Rock, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Garner and a newly blond Nelly Furtado were among those who posed for the cameras.
And Nicole Scherzinger, making her solo debut from the Pussycat Dolls, gave a performance for the gawking fans, performing her new single with the rapper Lil' Wayne.
While Spears' performance was a showcase, others were delivered in snippets: Akon crooned a bit of his "Smack That" before an award was announced, while the cameras zoomed in on performances from Fall Out Boy and the Foo Fighters mid-performance in their suites, giving viewers the sense that they had happened upon an intimate concert.

Britney Spears' abuse claims dropped
Britney Spears will not face child abuse charges.
The 'Toxic' singer's lawyer Laura Wasser, who attended a custody hearing with Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, confirmed the action has been dropped but wouldn't reveal details of the accusations.

Officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services did not comment on the complaints.

The courts will review independent evaluations and consider Kevin's request for primary custody of 23-month-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, 11 months.

Tom sends kids to Scientology camp
Hollywood star Tom Cruise has sent his two adopted teenage children to Scientology summer camp while he films a World War II movie in Berlin.
Isabella, 14, and 12-year-old son Connor - his adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman - have spent their summer at a camp near Portland, Oregon, run by the Church of Scientology.
A source told America's Star magazine: "The summer camp is part of the Scientology's 'get them while they're young' campaign.
"While they will be enjoying horseback riding, swimming and all kinds of fun activities, some of their day is devoted to Scientology course work."
Tom is a devout follower of the bizarre sci-fi cult and has been hailed by leaders of the faith as the "chosen one" who will spread the word of the religion.
The religion's founder, American science fiction writer L Ron Hubbard, claimed extra-terrestrial beings were sent to Earth by intergalactic ruler Xenu, who then destroyed the aliens with hydrogen bombs in a volcano.
The aliens' souls attached themselves to chosen humans, known as thetans, who will be one day be saved.
Isabella and Connor have been sent to the summer camp while Tom is in Berlin filming new World War II drama, Valkyrie. He has been joined by wife Katie Holmes and 16-month-old daughter Suri.
Nicole is currently in Australia filming new Baz Luhrmann epic Australia with Hugh Jackman.

Salman Khan Jailed After Appeal Rejected....
Troubled Bollywood star Salman Khan was arrested in Jodhpur airport, India on Saturday (25Aug07) after his appeal against his five-year jail sentence for killing an endangered species was rejected by a court.
On Friday (24Aug07), a Jodhpur court denied the actor's appeal against a 2006 court ruling that sentenced him to jail for five years for poaching a chinkara - an endangered species of gazelle protected under wildlife laws - while shooting a film in India's Rajasthan state in September 1998.
On Saturday, Khan flew from Mumbai to Jodhpur to surrender himself to local authorities, but was arrested in the airport lounge as soon as he landed.

Britney Spears "refused" to duet with ex-lover Justin Timberlake.
The troubled 'Toxic' singer mysteriously pulled out of recording the track, which was due to be produced by Timbaland, with her former boyfriend last month.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Timbaland set aside a week out of his crazy schedule to do this - and then, just before she was supposed to fly out, Britney abruptly cancelled the session and refused to do the song.
"It's crazy. She's looking for a comeback, and this would have not only been a huge hit, but something she could have opened the MTV Video Awards with it and really blown everyone away."
The duet was set to be recorded at Timbaland's Virginia Beach studio and Justin reportedly wrote the track especially for Britney.
Britney's record label Jive is said to be worried about the star's erratic behaviour and had hoped the duet would resurrect her faltering pop career.
Another sourced added: "Everyone is worried. In her mind, her album is done and she's done enough work. She's an easy target right now, because she's sick. She needs help. It's sad because what she's got - and we've heard it's like bipolar disorder - can easily be treated with medication, but she won't do it.
"People at Jive have been with Britney since album one, and have an investment in her. They have faith that once the material is there, she will become focused and step it up. But at the end of the day no-one can do it for her."
Representatives for Jive and Justin declined to comment.
Earlier this year, Timbaland approached Justin to help propel Britney back to the top of the charts.
He said: "I feel her pain, it really bothers me. I asked Justin, 'How would you feel about me working with Britney? Would you do it with me?' He said he would."
Britney and Justin dated for four years until 2002.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's invisible sex
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson wishes she was invisible - so she could sneakily have sex with someone "fabulous".
The British socialite insists she would use the special power for her own selfish satisfaction and romp with an unwitting partner.
The unlucky-in-love star told Heat magazine: "If I was invisible for a day I'd go and roger someone fabulous!
"Listen, if I want it I can get it. People say, 'Tara, you can get any man you want.' And it's true, I just can't keep them."
Tara has also revealed she constantly walks around naked, even in front of her assistants, because she is so comfortable being nude.
She added: "I'm naked all the time! In front of assistants and make-up artists, anyone. I don't have any problem being naked. God, I'm really boring, aren't I?"

Sex addict Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse is a sex addict with a fetish for spanking, an ex-lover has claimed.
Johnny Headlock, who is the minder of rocker Pete Doherty, claims he enjoyed a "wild" romp with the troubled singer - who was recently hospitalised after overdosing on a cocktail of drugs - last year while she was dating ex-lover Alex Claire.
The 27-year-old tough guy, real name Jonathan Jeannevol, met Amy, 23, through their mutual music contacts, and claims he bedded her after she returned to London following a promotional trip to New York.
He told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "She was wild. She went for hours and couldn't get enough. We must have gone through about five or six positions, but she liked being on top the best.
"She made a lot of noise and loved being spanked on the a**e. It was really rock 'n' roll."
Johnny claims he offered Amy - now married to 25-year-old Blake Fielder-Civil - cocaine before they had sex, but she didn't take the drug.
The minder continued to see the 'Rehab' singer for a short while after their night of passion, but it fizzled out after he discovered Amy was in a relationship with Alex.
